1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Wordiy ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
These Terms of Service ("ToS") are a legal agreement between you and Wordiy ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). Your use of the Service is subject to the following terms and conditions.
2. Service Description
Wordiy is a comprehensive localization platform for managing translations and delivering localized content to applications. The Service includes:
- Translation Management: Create, organize, and manage translation keys, translations, and languages across projects
- Content Delivery: Deliver translated content via secured API endpoints
- OTA Bundles: Manage and distribute over-the-air bundles for application updates
- Machine Translation: Integrate with machine translation providers (Google Translate, DeepL, Azure, etc.) for automated translation suggestions
- API Keys: Create and manage multiple API keys with granular access controls
- Usage Analytics: Track API usage, cache performance, and request analytics
- Webhooks: Configure webhooks for real-time event notifications
- Access Controls: Configure restrictions by language, namespace, and IP address
3. User Accounts and Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account information
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- All activities that occur under your account
- Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations
You may not use the Service if you are under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
4. API Keys and Authentication
API keys provide secure access to the Service. You agree to:
- Keep your API keys confidential and secure
- Never share your API keys publicly or with unauthorized parties
- Immediately revoke any compromised or unused keys
- Accept responsibility for all actions taken using your API keys
- Not use API keys to circumvent access restrictions or rate limits
We reserve the right to revoke or regenerate API keys at any time for security reasons.
5. User Content and Ownership
"User Content" includes all data, files, translations, bundles, configurations, and any other materials you upload, submit, or store through the Service.
Ownership: You retain all rights to your User Content. By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Store, process, and display your User Content
- Use your User Content to provide the Service to you
- Create backups and maintain redundancy for service reliability
- Aggregate and analyze usage patterns (anonymized)
We will not use your User Content for any purpose other than providing the Service, except as required by law.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use the Service to send spam, phishing, or harassment
- Perform denial-of-service attacks or excessive load testing
- Bypass rate limits, access controls, or security measures
- Use the Service for any purpose that could harm others
Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
7. Translation Management
The Service provides tools for organizing and managing translations across multiple languages and projects.
Responsibilities: You are responsible for:
- Ensuring all translations comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Obtaining necessary rights and licenses for translated content
- Managing translation versions, keys, and metadata
- Reviewing machine translation suggestions before publication
- Maintaining translation quality and consistency across languages
We provide tools for organizing, tagging, and managing translations, but you remain responsible for the accuracy, legality, and quality of your translation content.
8. Machine Translation and AI Features
Wordiy integrates with third-party machine translation providers (such as Google Translate, DeepL, Microsoft Azure, and others) to provide automated translation suggestions. Machine translation features are optional and:
- Are not guaranteed to be accurate: Machine translations are suggestions only and may contain errors
- Require activation: You must explicitly enable MT providers and configure API keys
- May incur provider costs: Some providers charge for translation requests; you are responsible for costs
- Send data to third parties: Content is sent to provider services for translation processing
- Subject to provider terms: Use of MT services is governed by each provider's terms and privacy policies
We recommend reviewing all machine translations before publishing them to production. We provide tools to view, compare, and customize translations before they are deployed.
9. Content Delivery and OTA Bundles
The Service provides mechanisms for delivering localized content and application bundles to end users. You are responsible for:
- Ensuring your content complies with all applicable laws
- Obtaining necessary rights and licenses for all content
- Protecting end-user privacy and complying with data protection laws
- Testing bundles before deployment to production
- Managing bundle versions and rollout strategies
We provide signed URLs and access controls to ensure secure bundle delivery, but you remain responsible for your content and its distribution.
10. Webhooks
The Service allows you to configure webhooks to receive real-time notifications of events occurring in your projects. Webhooks are sent to URLs you specify, and you are responsible for:
- Securing webhook endpoints and validating webhook signatures
- Processing webhook events reliably and within reasonable timeframes
- Notifying us immediately if webhooks are compromised or exposed
- Maintaining valid, accessible webhook URLs
We will retry failed webhook deliveries for a reasonable period. Repeated delivery failures may result in disabling the webhook. You are responsible for monitoring and maintaining your webhook endpoints.
11. Billing and Payment
The Service may offer both free and paid plans with different features and usage limits.
Payment Terms:
- Paid plans are billed in advance based on your selected billing cycle (monthly or annual)
- Payment is processed through Stripe or other authorized payment processors
- You are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information
- Failed payment attempts may result in suspension or termination of service
- Refunds are subject to our refund policy (if applicable)
Machine Translation Credits: If you use machine translation services, you may incur credits or costs based on the number of translation requests. These charges are in addition to your plan fees and are your responsibility.
12. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service, including but not limited to software, design, graphics, and documentation, is owned by Wordiy or its licensors. You retain all rights to your User Content.
License Grant: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or business purposes.
Restrictions: You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
- Rent, lease, or lend the Service
- Transfer your license to any third party
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
13. Privacy and Data Processing
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. We collect and process:
- Account information: Email, name, organization, password (encrypted)
- Project data: Projects, languages, namespaces, keys, and translations you create
- API usage data: Endpoints called, HTTP methods, response times, status codes, cache hit/miss metrics
- Request details: Query parameters, request headers, user agents, IP addresses
- Error data: Error types, error messages, and response metadata for debugging and improving the Service
- Machine translation data: Content sent to MT providers for translation (processed per provider terms)
- Webhook data: Event data sent to your configured webhook endpoints
- Activity logs: Changes made to projects, translations, and configurations for audit purposes

Data Residency: Your User Content and data may be stored in multiple geographic locations for redundancy and backup purposes. By using the Service, you consent to this processing.
14. Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer of Warranties: The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Damages: In no event shall Wordiy, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our maximum liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wordiy and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the Service in violation of applicable law
- Your User Content and its distribution
- Your infringement of any third-party intellectual property rights
16. Termination
Termination by You: You may delete your account and terminate your use of the Service at any time through your account settings.
Termination by Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
- Violate any provision of these Terms
- Engage in illegal or harmful activity
- Abuse the Service or other users
- Fail to pay for premium services (if applicable)
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We may, at our discretion, retain your User Content for a reasonable period for backup purposes, after which it will be deleted.
17. Changes to Terms and Service
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of significant changes.
18. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party services and APIs. Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, services, or their policies.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Wordiy is registered, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
Any legal action or proceeding shall be exclusively resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies we publish, constitute the entire agreement between you and Wordiy regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
